Pastor Jeff brings over twenty years of pastoral leadership and ministry experience coupled with an extensive counseling background that are perfectly suited to lead a vibrant gospel-centered church. He co-founded and directs Heart Song Counseling, a national biblical counseling ministry working with couples dealing with a variety of issues. He is also a Pastoral Counselor and Church Planting Assessor with the Sent Network.
Pastor Jeff has served previously in several ministry roles including multi-ethnic congregations providing pastoral and premarital counseling for individuals, married and engaged couples. He has taught, trained and led seminars on small group leadership and lay counseling, trained others in evangelism, shepherding, and community building.
Pastor Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration, Economics and Accounting from McDaniel College and a Master of Divinity, Pastoral Ministry from Covenant Theological Seminary.
Paul (Young Kwon Kim) is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Seminary M.Div and the University of Utah. He and his wife, Joslin, and son, Evan, and daughter, Evelyn. Paul completed a Masters in Counseling at Johns Hopkins University and is a therapist at Shady Grove Hospital.
Paul helps lead adult discipleship and teaches a class every Sunday based on the sermon text. He will soon be ordained as a pastor in ECO.
Jamie, a San Diego native, has been married to her husband, Kevin, for more than a decade raising their three children.
Jamie's professional roles before coming to Neelsville include being a church ministry coordinator, a MOPS ministry coordinator, a youth development specialist, a secondary English and Theater teacher, and adjunct college professor. She is passionate about helping families disciple their children and being part of a fellowship of families who can support one another and grow in the Lord together.
She is a San Diego State University Aztec alumni with a Bachelors in Theater to teach English, a secondary teaching credential, and a Master of Arts in Education.
This fall, Katy will begin her second year of doctoral studies in choral conducting at the University of Maryland where she will teach undergraduate conducting and co-direct the Chamber Singers. Katy was previously the Director of Music at Holy Family Church in Middletown, MD, where she conducted the Adult, Youth, and Children's choirs and led the Praise Band.
She has taught middle school general music, directed high school men's, women's, mixed, and chamber choirs, conducted musicals, and taught cross-curricular courses in music and religious studies. She originally fell in love with music ministry as the choir and bell choir director at Victor First Presbyterian Church near her hometown in upstate New York.
Katy has a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition and Theory from Hofstra University and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the Eastman School of Music. She is a conductor, singer, and composer, and also teaches voice, piano, and guitar.
Tricia has served in our NPC office since 2005 and has been a member since 1999. She keeps the office running and acts as liaison to the Board of Trustees and Deacons. Tricia along with her husband, Chris, and children, Elyssa and Josh, live in Mount Airy with multiple pets. Tricia enjoys gardening, reading, crocheting, and fishing with her family.
Wendy is a long-time member of Neelsville Church, attending since the age of five. She has served on staff as Treasurer since 2007. Recently retired after 30 years with Lockheed Martin, Wendy enjoys volunteering in many capacities at church and tackling projects around the house that have been set aside for years. Wendy married her high school sweetheart, Gregg, at Neelsville in 1984. They have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. In her spare time, Wendy enjoys traveling, boating, gardening, music, crafts and baking.
