Pastor Jeff brings over twenty years of pastoral leadership and ministry experience coupled with an extensive counseling background that are perfectly suited to lead a vibrant gospel-centered church. He co-founded and directs Heart Song Counseling, a national biblical counseling ministry working with couples dealing with a variety of issues. He is also a Pastoral Counselor and Church Planting Assessor with the Sent Network.
Pastor Jeff has served previously in several ministry roles including multi-ethnic congregations providing pastoral and premarital counseling for individuals, married and engaged couples. He has taught, trained and led seminars on small group leadership and lay counseling, trained others in evangelism, shepherding, and community building.
Pastor Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration, Economics and Accounting from McDaniel College and a Master of Divinity, Pastoral Ministry from Covenant Theological Seminary.
Paul (Young Kwon Kim) is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Seminary M.Div and the University of Utah. He and his wife, Joslin, and son, Evan, and daughter, Evelyn. Paul completed a Masters in Counseling at Johns Hopkins University and is a therapist at Shady Grove Hospital.
Paul helps lead adult discipleship and teaches a class every Sunday based on the sermon text. He will soon be ordained as a pastor in ECO.
Jamie, a San Diego native, has been married to her husband, Kevin, for more than a decade. Together they raise their three children Madeline, Charlotte, and Jason. Jamie's professional roles before coming to Neelsville include being a church ministry coordinator, a MOPS ministry coordinator,a youth development specialist, a secondary English and Theater teacher, and adjunct college professor. Jamie loves theater, reading, and chasing her little ones around the park. She is passionate about helping families disciple their children and being part of a fellowship of families who can support one another and grow in the Lord together. Jamie also loves working alongside an amazing team of teachers and leaders who serve our children here at Neelsville.
Andy is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He met his wife Tamara in high school at their student ministry, and they got married in May of 2016. Andy has a passion for developing mature faith in students that prepares them to go out into adulthood. In his spare time he loves to read, play drums, and watch hockey.
Steve was born in Korea and grew up in Forth Worth, Texas and San Francisco, California. He is pursuing his DMA in Choral Conducting at the University of Maryland College Park while teaching music at a magnet high school for the performing arts in Hyattsville, MD. Steve and Yoonie met and married in New Jersey and this year welcomed the arrival of their precious daughter, Jina Jemim Kim. Steve is a composer, pianist, conductor, singer-songwriter, educator, music theorist, avid cook and, most importantly, a disciple of Jesus Christ. Check out Steve's website here.
Josiah and Hyeeun were married in Olympia, Washington on August 10th, 2016, and moved to Greenbelt, Maryland shortly afterwards. Josiah is a Doctoral student in Collaborative Piano at the University of Maryland. the Stockers enjoy travel, nature, and cooking together.
Tricia has served as Neelsville Office Administrator since 2005 and has been a member since 1999. She keeps the office running and acts as liaison to the Board of Trustees and Deacons. Tricia along with her husband, Chris, and children, Elyssa and Josh, live in Mount Airy with multiple pets. Tricia enjoys gardening, reading, crocheting, and fishing with her family.
Angela has lived in this area for almost ten years and she has been a believer in Jesus for as long as she can remember. She and Bob married in 1998 and make their home here in Germantown.
Angela loves singing, crafts, kids and animals. In their free time, Angela and Bob love the great outdoors, traveling, hiking and reading.
Wendy is a long-time member of Neelsville Church, attending since the age of five. She has served on staff as Treasurer since 2007. Recently retired after 30 years with Lockheed Martin, Wendy enjoys volunteering in many capacities at church and tackling projects around the house that have been set aside for years. Wendy married her high school sweetheart, Gregg, at Neelsville in 1984. They have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and their first grandchild on the way. In her spare time, Wendy enjoys traveling, boating, gardening, music, crafts and baking.
