Children's & Family Ministries

A core value of Neelsville Church is strengthening families. Our goal for families is to share the love of Christ with children and lead them to a lifelong commitment to follow Jesus.

We aim for this goal by collaborating with parents to raise kids in the church; enjoy Christian discipleship, worship, and fellowship with their church family. We encourage children and parents to grow in faith, in love, and in service.

Sunday School

Sundays at 9:30am, our children ages 3 through 6th grade gather in a loving, nurturing environment to learn of God's love and grace. Through Bible-based curriculums, Sunday School teachers help our children grow in their relationship with Christ.

Children dig into Scripture following themes the publishers of David C. Cooke with TRU curriculum. This curriculum helps "children and their families connect to God, find their place in His Big God Story, and respond to Him through the power of the Holy Spirit." Every Sunday, Neelsville kids particpate in exciting activities that bring the stories and themes of the Bible to life. Parents have access to weekly guides that help them facilitate discussion and read Bible passages related to each lesson. Classes are led by dedicated and background checked volunteers.

Children are welcome participants and even leaders in Sunday morning worship. There is a nursery and childcare available, but we are glad to have a wiggly sanctuary filled with the children of God (many of whom are kids) who are growing in their understanding and experience of what it means to worship God. Each Sunday there is a message just for children. The first Sunday of the month we celebrate the Lord's Supper as a church family.
